Ecesis (by EnviroData Solutions, Inc.) is committed to providing a website and web applications that are accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying relevant accessibility standards.
STANDARDS WE FOLLOW
We aim to conform to the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA across public pages on ecesis.net and authenticated application areas, unless noted in the Known Issues section below. We also consider relevant obligations under the ADA and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act for U.S. customers.
Current conformance status: In an ongoing self‑assessment, the majority of user journeys tested are conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We are actively working through a prioritized backlog to reach full conformance.
MEASURES WE TAKE
To help ensure accessibility, we:
- Build with semantic HTML, ARIA only where necessary, and maintain a logical heading structure.
- Ensure keyboard-only access to interactive controls and visible focus indicators.
- Target minimum color contrast of 4.5:1 for text and 3:1 for large text and UI components.
- Provide alt text for meaningful images and avoid using images of text.
- Associate labels with form controls; provide clear errors and instructions.
- Support reflow and responsive layouts without loss of content or functionality.
- Avoid content that flashes more than three times per second.
- Test with automated tools (e.g., Accessible Web/WAVE), screen readers (NVDA/Read Aloud), and keyboard navigation.
- Train designers, engineers, and content authors on accessibility best practices.
ACCESSIBILITY FEATURES YOU CAN EXPECT
- Skip links (e.g., “Skip to main content”) on key pages
- Consistent navigation landmarks (header, main, footer)
- Clear link purpose and visible hover/focus states
- Captions or transcripts for published multimedia
- Timeouts with warning and extension where applicable
KNOWN ISSES AND ROADMAP
While we work to improve, some items may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA:
- Historical charts/visualizations: A small number of older charts rely on color alone. Planned fix: Add patterns/text equivalents and ARIA descriptions.
- Form error messaging: In some older forms, errors are not programmatically tied to inputs. Planned fix: Associate aria-describedby and inline identifiers; provide summary at top.
- Focus management after page updates: Certain single‑page flows occasionally move focus unpredictably. Planned fix: Set document title and programmatic focus for dynamic views.

COMPATIBILITY WITH BROWSERS AND ASSISTANCE TECHNOLOGY
Ecesis is designed to be compatible with the following:
- Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari
- Screen readers NVDA (Windows), JAWS (Windows), and VoiceOver (macOS/iOS)
- Zoom/reflow up to 400% without requiring two‑dimensional scrolling for most content
Older browser versions or very small mobile screens in landscape may reduce compatibility.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Accessibility of Ecesis relies on the following technologies to work with the particular combination of web browser and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer:
- HTML5, ARIA 1.2
- CSS
- JavaScript
These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.
ASSESSMENT APPROACH
Ecesis assesses accessibility by:
- Self‑evaluation against WCAG 2.1 AA success criteria
- Manual testing using keyboard-only navigation and screen readers
- User feedback from people with disabilities and accessibility specialists
Upon request, we can provide a VPAT® (Voluntary Product Accessibility Template) describing conformance in more detail.
