Respiratory Protection Compliance Calendar Software
OSHA's Respiratory Protection standard (29 CFR 1910.134) requires a comprehensive written program with annual fit testing, medical evaluations, equipment inspections, training, and program evaluations. For organizations with dozens or hundreds of respirator users across multiple types of respirators and exposure hazards, tracking every employee's fit test date, medical clearance, and training status is a major administrative challenge.
Our Respiratory Protection Compliance Calendar Software and mobile app ensures every fit test, medical evaluation, inspection, and training requirement is scheduled, assigned, and documented.
Key Respiratory Protection Deadlines
Fit Testing
Each employee using a tight-fitting facepiece must be fit tested at least annually and whenever a different respirator facepiece is used.
Medical Evaluation
Medical evaluation by a PLHCP must be completed before an employee is fit tested or required to use a respirator in the workplace.
Respiratory Protection Training
Train employees on why the respirator is necessary, its limitations, proper use, maintenance, and medical signs that may limit use.
Emergency SCBA Inspections
Inspect SCBAs stored for emergency use at least monthly, including air cylinder pressure checks. Document each inspection.
SCBA Flow Testing
SCBA regulators and valves require annual flow testing to verify proper function and breathing air delivery.
SCBA Cylinder Hydrostatic Testing
SCBA cylinders must be hydrostatically tested per DOT schedules — every 3 years for fiberglass-wrapped or 5 years for steel/aluminum cylinders.
Cartridge/Filter Change Schedule
Replace respirator cartridges and filters per the employer's change schedule based on exposure conditions, not waiting for breakthrough.
Breathing Air Quality Testing
Test breathing air quality for supplied-air respirators to verify Grade D air requirements are met.
User Seal Check
Employees must perform a user seal check each time they put on a tight-fitting respirator to verify adequate seal.
Program Evaluation
Evaluate the respiratory protection program to ensure it is being properly implemented and that correct respirator selection is being made.
